Talented girl!!

Adriana has always been one special child. She started sleeping through the night when she was 2 1/2 weeks old, held her breast milk filled bottle when she was exactly one month old..we have a picture to prove it..it only stayed up for a couple seconds, but she did it!! ;) She started teething at 2 months, first two teeth came in at 4 months, she was walking by 10 months, potty trained at a year and a half, I could go on and on...:) When she was 2 years old, we signed her up for gymnastics..did that for a year, then I decided to try tap and ballet. 4 years later here we are still dancing. She loves it and she's great at it!! She is a Cherub in this years "The Nutcracker". YAY!! So proud of my sweet pea!! Two years ago, we got a phone call from a friend of mine asking if I thought Adriana would be interested in playing soccer. My friend was coaching her daughter's soccer team and they were a player short. I asked Adri if she would like to play and she started jumping up and down and happily said, "YES"!!! :) So, our soccer days began and boy are are we happy we got that offer, because she absolutely LOVES playing soccer. Out of all of her activities, that is her very favorite and she is AMAZING to watch. She is definitely an athlete (got it from her daddy). I look forward to Saturdays, because watching her play fills me with happiness and boy, am I one PROUD MOMMA!!! :) I cheer so loudly every week, that on Sundays, I have no voice. lol I am her cheerleader and her number #1 fan!! Scholarships, here we come!!! ;) Now, another talent my child has is music. She has always loved music, playing instruments, singing, dancing..she does it all. Her kindergarten year, she decided she wanted to enter her school's talent show. She was the only kindergarten student in the talent show that year, because of this she was the first one up..boy, was she nervous and I was nervous for her...but as soon as she began to sing, my nerves turned into tears rolling down my cheeks. She was so little up there and just had the prettiest little voice...all of her fellow students and her teachers stood up and cheered for her, it was a pretty awesome moment. She has been doing the talent shows every year since. Last year she showed an interest in learning how to play the piano..with our busy schedules, we didn't have room to fit in piano lessons, so we promised her we would try to make time this year to take piano lessons on top of all the other activities she already does. One afternoon this past summer, we were at my in-laws house, all of a sudden we hear "Mary Had A Little Lamb" on the piano..Toby and I ran in the other room and there she was sitting at the piano with a big smile on her face. We asked her where she had learned to play that and she responded, "I learned it at home on my little piano"...apparently one of those times when she's in her room playing, she taught herself how to play a song on her piano, memorized it and played it when she found a real piano to play it on. Piano lessons here we come:) We are all so proud of her!! She brings joy to so many people's lives. She blows us away. Everyday is something new...not to mention she's a Terrific Kid and a straight A student, but that just calls for whole other blog...oh and did I mention that she's bilingual?! ;) Now that I am done bragging on my princess (for now), here are some photos. Enjoy!! :)
