34 weeks:) little update on baby #3

This pregnancy has been a little different to say the least.. I've smiled, laughed, worried, stressed, worried some more, stressed some more.. you get what I am saying.

High risk they call it..

Lots of doctor visits.

Needles. Lots of those.

Endless doctor bills.

Lots of me stressing (I just can't help it sometimes).

A healthy, growing baby boy! :) God is SO good!!!! This is where the smile comes in;)

Mondays.

Every Monday.

For the past 4 months, they've been my day to get a peek at this baby and get a shot on the butt. lol

One of those Mondays there were 2 shots at once. One wasn't planned and very unexpected..

Did I mention, needles scare the crap out of me..

Every Monday.

Bringing my 2 year old along and sissy's iPad. Gotta keep him occupied for those almost 2 hrs..right?!

Both of my dr offices have been awesome! God has used these doctors and nurses to help keep this baby in the oven and for that I am so very thankful.

One more week and we hit a BIG milestone in this pregnancy and we could not be more excited!!!

Y'all, there have been a few scares here and there from 24 weeks to now..

Last night I was having one of those feeling sad moment (the ones where for a split second you seem to forget just how blessed you are bc your head is filled with life's problems) because some days it has been hard to enjoy this pregnancy, this precious blessing that God has once again blessed us with and when I was really starting to let it get to me, my children run in my room laughing and chasing each other and the little boy growing in my tummy was just kicking away.

I could not do anything else but smile. My heart smiled. BIG!

How blessed we are and we let the little worries in life get to us sometimes.

It's Friday and I will be 34 weeks tomorrow. For weeks we (us and doctors) were not too sure we would see 34 weeks.. but here we are. He is good, y'all! All the time.

Happy Friday, friends! XO

It's a BOY!

Last Monday the kiddos and I got a peek at baby brother on the way. Adri was surprised and excited to find out that she is getting another brother and Max, well, he didn't really know what was going on.

I made daddy wait until he got home from work and found a cute note on our chalkboard that hangs in our kitchen. He was super excited! I loved it! :)

I am so very happy for Max to have a brother and for Adriana to have another brother who adores her and drives her crazy too. ;)

We are all so very excited to meet this new love of our lives in December.

Here's some pictures from our gender reveal:)

We popped a balloon and BLUE confetti flew out! It. Was. Awesome.

My sweet friend made this beautiful cake. It was gorgeous and delish! If you ever need a beautiful and tasty cake, message me and I will be glad to give you her info. :)

p.s. We don't have a name picked out yet. I won't be surprised if we don't decide until baby is born. :)

Happy Easter!

Good Friday began our Spring Break. Looking forward to no 6 am alarm for a whole week. Yes!!!!

Sissy is on SB for a week and daddy took the week off to spend time with the fam.  Love it when daddy's home.

Saturday morning we tried our first BIG Easter egg hunt...
Never. Again. Too chaotic for us. Next year we will have to go to one at a local church:)

We spent the rest of the afternoon sanding down our front porch so we can paint it and make it look pretty (SB project) and fighting these awful allergies. Love Spring because it brings warm weather but the pollen is killing all of us.

This morning we attended the 9:15 service at our church. We worshipped and celebrated the true meaning of Easter.  It was a lovely service and 22 people gave their life to Jesus Christ. It was so awesome to watch. #Heisnotdead

He is not here;
He has risen,
just as he said.

Matthew 28:6

After church we came home, ate a quick lunch and we've been hanging out ever since. AND Adri put out some eggs for Max in our yard so he could do a hunt without the craziness. Ha

Here's some pics from the weekend.

                                                      Sandbox fun. Kids enjoyed that.
Adriana petting the bunny. She loved it!

Today..

I "spanked" more like popped my 2 year old in public.

Not. Funny.

I am not one to spank (I will when needed), but today Max really got the best of me. Actually, he's been getting the best of me for about a month now, to the point where I feel like I've failed as a parent these past two years. I even cried the other day because I felt so frustrated with this "new phase" he's entered.

The boy throws tantrums like no other (boy does he have a pair of lungs, you can hear him screaming for miles) throws things and himself. This is happening more and more often. He's also sweet as pie and is very wild but well behaved most of the time. Way too smart too. This is what makes it so hard to discipline him when he is misbehaving..

You'd think this is my first child because I have no experience with this. Adriana totally skipped over the "Terrific Twos"or maybe I just don't remember Ha, so of course I am lost with this boy when it comes to this.

Thanks to Max, I now know how much patience I really have. It's amazing. Really. lol

Anyway, Max wasn't getting his way today so he began to scream, kick and throw himself in front of everyone and of course a lot of these people were giving me "the look". I hate "the look". Makes me feel like I am being judged and I can't help but try to imagine what's going through these people's minds.

Today, I gave in and popped Max on his chunky thighs and I didn't care what a single person thought. I've tried letting him have the fit, that goes on for 30-45 minutes, time-out, talking to him, bribing him. None of these worked..

Neither did that "spanking" Waahhhhh

He screamed all the way home, finally fell asleep, an hour later woke up from his nap and didn't skip a beat and kept on with the tantrum as if he had never stopped to take that nap.

I keep hearing, "this is just a phase", "It's just the age","He's a boy!" "It will be gone by the time he's 4." Lord, help me if it takes that long. hahaha

I don't want to stop taking him out in public because it's good for him and I to get out but this seems to be when he's on his worst behavior. Goodness!

Mamas that have been through this or are currently going through this stage: What are your thoughts? Advice? I feel so alone because I swear I don't see any other kids doing this or not this badly anyway. Feel free to inbox me if you don't want to comment for others to see. I was very skeptical about writing this, but I find comfort in writing and sharing my feelings with other moms. I'm sure somebody out there can relate.

Just a couple more hours and daddy will be home. Max behaves like a total angel for daddy.

Awesome weekend!

Kung Fu Max had the best party!

On Saturday, March 21st, we celebrated Max's 2nd Birthday. It was such a perfect day for a party at the park surrounded by our sweet friends and family. Thanks to all who took a couple of hours out of your day to help us celebrate.

The weather was perfect, cake was beautiful, snacks were tasty and the company was the best!

Can't believe our little guy is TWO!

Another awesome thing that happened this weekend was me getting baptized at church. We started attending NewSpring Church Spartanburg 3 years ago. We've loved this church from the first time we attended our first service there. We feel at home there, Perry Noble rocks and we love how they love our two kiddos and are teaching both of them about Jesus on their level. I am so very excited of what's to come now that I've taken this next step in my walk with Jesus.  #thebestisyettocome

This was a weekend we won't ever forget:)

Here's a couple of pictures. Enjoy.

Have a great week, friends!

I blinked..

And my Max turned TWO! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAXIMUS!!!

Today our little guy (not so little haha) Maximus turns TWO!! How in the world did that happen so fast?!

Max has grown SO much in this past year. I am one proud mama! If you're friends with me on FB or IG, you already know that. lol Don't act like you don't love all of the pictures. haha I personally LOVE all of the photos of your precious families.

We are having Max's birthday party this weekend. Outside. Mama's been praying that the weather stays dry and warm.

Here's some pictures I took yesterday. I'd been planning to take these all month and of course Max goes and busts his lip (really bad) right before I got a chance to take them. You really can't tell in the pictures. He's such a happy kid and tough too!

Happy Wednesday, friends.

Max's Birthday shirt was made by https://www.facebook.com/mamiesmonograms Mamie did an awesome job! I highly recommend her:) Go check out her Facebook page.

Almost TWO!

First post of 2015!

Today marks exactly 23 months that our sweet, happy boy was born. He brings so much joy into our lives and is full of personality. Love that!

This mama tries her best to do a monthly "photoshoot" of Max. They grow up so quickly and are changing every day, I need lots of pictures to look through when he's grown and married. Today's "shoot" was full of smiles and snacking on Goldfish.

2nd Birthday party plans in the works.

Here's a couple from today.

The second picture cracks me up. Always being silly. Totally normal for Maximus.
